Cleaning Tips
What Does a Professional Apartment Cleaning Include?
Before booking a cleaner, it helps to know exactly what you're paying for. Here's what a professional apartment cleaning typically covers, room by room.
Kitchen
- Countertops, sink and stovetop
- Appliance exteriors wiped
- Floors vacuumed and mopped
Bathrooms
- Tub, shower, toilet and sink
- Mirrors and fixtures
- Floors cleaned
Bedrooms and living areas
- Dusting reachable surfaces, shelves and sills
- Vacuuming and mopping floors
- Trash emptied
What's usually not included
Most standard cleanings don't include inside the oven or fridge, interior windows, or heavy buildup — those are either extras or part of a deeper service. Things like exterior windows, moving heavy furniture and repairs are generally outside any home cleaning.
Each TidyLine service page lists exactly what's included and what isn't — see Standard Cleaning and Deep Cleaning.
How to get the most from your cleaning
- Pick up clutter so surfaces and floors can be cleaned fully
- Add notes at booking for priorities or anything to skip
- Share building access details ahead of time
Supplies and equipment are included with every TidyLine visit. Read more about why customers choose TidyLine, or compare standard and deep cleaning.
